Twin Streams project in West Auckland
Hi Everyone,
What a fantastic Month we have had on the beautiful Oratia Stream.
On the 9th June we had a Scouts Planting Day with 55 people turning up & planting 800 trees.
On the 24th June we had our first Public Plant Day with 120 people attending & planting 3800 trees.
Most importantly we all learnt more about Restoration of our Forest & had lots of fun meeting new friends & catching up with old mates.
We are bringing the Waitakere ecosystem down to our backyard.
Many thanks go out from all of our community to everyone who managed to come to these events.
Next event
This will be the last of the planting season, we plan to celebrate by having a hangi.
Date: Sunday 5th August
Time: from 10.30am to 1pm
Location: beside Sunnyvale Train Station.
If anyone would like to give us feed-back on our events or the up-coming Plant Day we would love to hear from you.
For up-dates & photos of our Plant Days please view www.mphs.org.nz.
Kind regards,
Green Jon.

If your organisation relies on volunteers then you need to come to these two workshops - run by Cheryll Martin of Volunteering Auckland - she will provide you with valuable information that will assist you to both recruit and retain volunteers.
