Christmas 2007, Ezekiel 33 launched it's very own "Christmas in the Park". This event was distinctly different from Waitakere's City's Christmas in the Park, as we wanted to not only share the reason for our Christian season being "the Birth of Christ" but we also wanted to promote a "Smokefree, Alcohol Free, Don't Drink and Drive safety message.
Launching a new event is always somewhat scary, however, it certainly did not scare away our crowds. We had a few thousands people turn up with blankets and sunscreen in hand. Families happily camped all day enjoying the easy listening beats of gospel sounds from local churches and groups who shared their joy of the season.
Our special thanks to the many groups who came from all over Auckland to contribute to this wonderful event.
