Ezekiel 33 worked alongside Kelston Boys High to organise a HUGE Haka powhiri homecoming welcome for SAS. 60 kids from the Kelston Boys Bring it On Teams, Kapa Haka Teams and Polytenials united together to welcome SAS home KELSTON STYLE!.

At 7am in the morning - this Haka Powhiri was loud - it was proud - it was moving - it was meaningful and it was performed with a depth of love and appreciation we all felt towards these boys.

Not only did SAS come home as World Title holders, but they also came home to receive the honours of "Youth Ambassadors" for Waitakere City.

Today was about flying the SAS "Green" colours! Ezekiel 33 Events Co-ordinater Stephanie Harawira ditches her Red Ezekiel TShirt in favour of wearing the "SAS" patch. From 7am it was just "Smiles upon smiles" all round.

Ezekiel 33 would like to acknowledge the management of Kelston Boys High School for working with us to bring all their fine rangatahi to the airport. Another huge thanks to Ritchies who proudly sponsored a double decker bus to transport them.

We would also like to thank the many teachers of Kelston Boys High School and espectially Lisa Hosker (Centre) who has been a long time staunch supporter and advocate for the youth in the Kelston community.

Fender Maeva prouly holds up his Gold medal. Below are members of Fender's whanau - who proudly wore their TShirts with a picture of their Grandmother on. Sadly Fender's grandmother passed away just as the boys were to fly out. The love story here is that the whanau told Fender to go and win the gold for their grandmother - and thats exactly what he did. Ezekiel 33 had the honour to stand with this wonderful whanau today and our aroha goes out to the whanau. We know she would have been so so proud!

Once again, a Big thanks to The Trusts Charitable Foundation who had the vision and insight to back these awesome youth, and for their continued support of Advancing the Local Communities of Waitakere City.
