Ezekiel 33 Trust values the young people of Aotearoa and is committed to providing opportunities and facilities for their personal and cultural development.
The Ezekiel 33 youth programmes are relationship-driven and not programme-driven aimed to reinforce their sense of belonging in global society.
Our Youth Development Philosophy & Values
We firmly believe that young people are an integral part of the community and recognise the importance of their belonging to, and their contribution to global society.
We aim to encourage young people to be involved in the affairs of local community and recognise the importance of including them in decision making processes.
Ezekiel 33 Youth Development Programme
Ezekiel 33 aim to develop a Whanau Community Youth Centre where we can develop performing arts clubs, creative arts studios, and youth events in schools and local community.
These youth programmes are designed to encourage, motivate, enhance, unite, empower and strengthen young people and their sense of belonging in the community. The Ezekiel 33 Whanau Community Youth centre will allow youth opportunity to connect and engage with other existing youth groups/schools within the community with the aim of developing an inter-related, united community of youth with a focus of organising joint events and activities that have a safe, fun, engaging relationship-building focus. This centre is relationship-driven and not programme-driven.
All young people involved are able to engage in youth activities, and have easy access to general information and resources available to them to meet their needs in the areas of:
a) Health, Safety & Wellbeing b) Sport & Recreation c) Entertainment d) Employment e) Family
The articles of the Treaty of Waitangi underpin the development and delivery of all services at Ezekiel 33 Trust. We are committed to professional practise which demonstrates an understanding of AROHA (love), WHANAUNGATANGA (underpins the whole concept of whanau, hapu, iwi). and MANAAKITANGA (to care for/serve others).
