The Ezekiel 33 Trust is promoting awareness of the dangers of smoking and supports the Smoke free initiative and Auahi Kore. The message of the dangers of smoking was swamped by the promoted perceptions of it being a safe recreational pass-time. So the smokefree campaign is instrumental in building knowledge of the effects of smoking, and strengthening the will to not smoke.

The actions of Hone Harawira Maori Party MP for Taitokerau, in introducing this Smokefree Bill into Parliament are much to be commended. Not only will lives of smokers, and the nearby second hand smokers be saved, but the quality of life from prime of life through to golden years will be happily improved.

But now, with the looming possibility of legislation in addition to the smokefree environments, many initiatives to reduce smoking and dependency can take heart and step up their efforts.
