Directions From Motorway
Parrs Park is in the Sunnyvale and Oratia area, deep in West Auckland.

The quickest route to get to Parrs Park from Auckland on the North Western Motorway, is to take the Te Atatu Rd off ramp. Coming from the off ramp, turn onto Te Atatu Rd, and follow it until you reach a roundabout. Turn right (following the main road) past the supermarket and carry on down Edmonton Rd to another roundabout, and veer to the left. At the lights at the intersection of Edmonton Rd & Great North Road, continue straight through towards K-Mart and on to the next roundabout turning onto Vitasovich Ave. When you get to the lights, continue straight on Millbrook Rd, then take the first on the right at a round about which is 1.5Km from the lights next to a dairy, on to Seymour Rd. There are three options for on site parking;
  1. Towards the end of Seymour Rd, just before it begins to dip, one of the park entrances appears on the left. It leads immediately to the soccer club and the swimming baths.
  2. Follow Seymour Rd until you reach the end, and turn left into Parrs Cross Rd. There is a parking entrance off Parrs Cross Rd before the roundabout, which is right next to the playground, topilets, and basket ball court.
  3. Or you can continue along Parrs Cross Rd, and turn left at the roundabout on to West Coast Rd then turn into the entrance on the left which is beside the lower playing fields. This drive meets up with the first entrance from Seymour Rd, and passes the entrance to Hoani Waititi Marae, the baths, and the soccer club.

The easiest instructions to follow mean you drive a few kilometers further, but you have less chance of getting lost.
Use this Map to get from the Lincoln Road off ramp (click on the "-" a few times to zoom out, so you can see where the motorway is).
Take the Lincoln Rd turn-off, and head south down Lincoln Road, right ot he very end of it.
At the end, you will come to a roundabout with five roads joining it. You will notice an open park space across the interesection. Turn left, and take the second road off to head south east along Great North Road, so that you are heading down the road with the park space on your right hand side.
Turn right on to Henderson Valley Road at the next intersection, which is soon after the bottom of the hill and a small bridge. Henderson valley road goes on for a couple of kilometers.
Turn left on to Pine Ave, when you get to the "T" intersection at end of Henderson Valley Road.
Follow on east along Pine Ave, which will become Parrs Cross Road (at the Bruce Mclaren Road intersection).
You will go down the hill, over a bridge across a stream and up the other side. When you get to the intersection near the top, with Seymour Road on your left, you will see the first corner of Parrs Park. Continue on Parrs cross Road on your right.
Take your first left, when you get to the roundabout, and head east along West Coast Road, with Parrs Park on your left.
Turn left on the first road after the roundabout, which is the entrance to Parrs Park. There are car parks there, and you can drive around further for car parks near the swimming pool, and near the soccer club.
To leave Parrs park, you can continue on round Parrs Park to exit left onto Seymour Road. After turning left at the exit onto Seymour Road, continue along Seymour Road till you get to Parrs Cross Road (the intersection at the top of the hill where you first saw Parrs park). Turn Right at the intersection onto Parrs Cross Road, and head back the way you came.
